It’s always a good idea to let children experiment with different kind of materials. Today we decided to paint outside and use grass instead of a brush. The children love to be creative in nature and had so much fun during the process.
I wrapped a bunch of long grass around a cotton swab and tied it as shown in the picture below. The children could use this as a brush.
I put a paint pallet beside them, so the children could choose the colours of their liking.
Below you can see the children’s artwork. I removed most of the remaining grass when the painting was dry. If you take a closer look, you can still see some grass. It reminds us of our painting experience in nature :-)
