Easter egg hunt

There are so many Easter activities you can undertake with kids, but our favourite is the Easter egg hunt. In this blog I will show you some craft ideas to prepare a great egg hunt for children.

First of all we made these Easter bunny headbands and used this template as example.

I printed the template, cut it out and used the outline to create bunnies on thick coloured paper. I drew faces with a marker and let the kids colour them with pencils. When they were finished, I made ears of pink paper and mini yarn pom poms as tail. Watch this YouTube video and learn how you can easily make these adorable, fluffy tails yourself.

They next step is to draw eggs with the children and to craft an Easter bunny basket. I love to recycle materials and chose to convert an empty cardboard milk carton into a chicken egg basket. For the eggs I printed this template and if you like you can use it for the egg ornaments as well.

Inspired by Fireflies and Mud Pies we decided to buy some Easter trees and decorate them with Easter egg ornaments. Read step by step the instructions on their site.

An Easter egg hunt is incomplete without loved ones, so don't forget to invite family and friends to come over! Print these bunnies on thick paper and use them as invitations. I minimized the bunnies before printing, so we could post them. Let the kids colour the bunnies with crayons and attach mini yarn pom poms as tail. Pick a date and the Easter Egg hunt is ready to start :-)
