It's a non-competitive and fun way to practice mindfulness with your kids. Because of the pandemic, mindfulness matters more than ever. I brought mindfulness into the home by reading the children's book <i><a href="https://celebratepicturebooks.com/tag/zoo-zen-a-yoga-story-for-kids/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">Zoo Zen: a yoga story for kids</span></a> </i>(available in Dutch and English at your local library or bookstore).</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMR5vjBWqUVSiYTVSfLXMSgJ6Y3MrIgFC8JihYDk98wYux9yBMXjfcIwLpKHF1VoNLAj3LfCVUuFZMxIUF1WkwIyfpz4R26TzBDU4GXQJMBssnTVXZrWwgHgcoZpuxrXr4M28RosdJiQ/s620/Yoga+pose.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="349" data-original-width="620" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMR5vjBWqUVSiYTVSfLXMSgJ6Y3MrIgFC8JihYDk98wYux9yBMXjfcIwLpKHF1VoNLAj3LfCVUuFZMxIUF1WkwIyfpz4R26TzBDU4GXQJMBssnTVXZrWwgHgcoZpuxrXr4M28RosdJiQ/s320/Yoga+pose.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"> It's a charming picture book that introduces children to yoga through mimicking animals. Additionally, you can watch the video below to teach your children the several yoga poses. </div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="BLOG_video_class" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/L8t1TjWr3K0" width="320" youtube-src-id="L8t1TjWr3K0"></iframe></div><p style="text-align: center;">Enjoy your yoga journey with your kids! It was not difficult to decide what we should make as a birthday present for grandpa. Every kid coloured an Eames designer elephant. My nanny kids painted a giant Christmas tree and coloured Christmas balls with crayons. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAQVbypGcYgdI-W4WEqxpQKzNoB7Dk5AzeArJOXMPwABmo2HalZxWnvHN_Xok3L7uozqIfJhwdcFQ7K0tPuXhizC6zDzKDqNE5WA9MgfpYvZe3D6gpeg61efacOmL5hDtYVAwqhgTQ7g/s2048/20201212_105512.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1826" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAQVbypGcYgdI-W4WEqxpQKzNoB7Dk5AzeArJOXMPwABmo2HalZxWnvHN_Xok3L7uozqIfJhwdcFQ7K0tPuXhizC6zDzKDqNE5WA9MgfpYvZe3D6gpeg61efacOmL5hDtYVAwqhgTQ7g/s320/20201212_105512.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">To create Christmas balls, I drew circles with the remaining days till Christmas. It's a good exercise to count numbers with the kids and place them in the correct order. You can attach the Christmas balls with glue or doubled sided tape when the paint is dry. We decorated our tree peak with star stickers and hang the Christmas tree on the wall of the living room. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9ue05ip2ZksH5PW4F0ssabn6TAwsVdjVl12BPsQBNd1QUWOQEbSCgTPaIhAKwk_D5t1RIJdqlEhXPmC2lwDauZPu_OGwkTfu_fOznA9hm46hUGfLXM58au8TW8v_hU3yYlfc5hU4lcA/s2048/20201212_105401.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1822" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9ue05ip2ZksH5PW4F0ssabn6TAwsVdjVl12BPsQBNd1QUWOQEbSCgTPaIhAKwk_D5t1RIJdqlEhXPmC2lwDauZPu_OGwkTfu_fOznA9hm46hUGfLXM58au8TW8v_hU3yYlfc5hU4lcA/s320/20201212_105401.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Every new day your kid can cross a date to countdown until Christmas. This year’s theme is “And then?”, so I will talk with the kids about the past. What did I look like as a kid and what kind of activities did we do when I was young? It would be fun to undertake some old-fashioned games with your kids. With older children you can talk about a world without mobile phones or internet. I think it’s hard to imagine for most children today.</div><p style="text-align: center;">Dinosaurs lived a really long time ago and are therefore a very suitable topic for the children’s book week. In this blog I will show dinosaur crafts the children made (including templates) and share my favourite dinosaur book & songs.</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLtlClrmaRAczuEFGoY2FuNJs-ju3E9zO52R0QqsjPyYAKSAAjFXkjZi12WsJw0yM6635GuGl0m1nhyphenhypheng1q5CaPbN9HFg_DRFGgYzb3PDVbtudEKKoQjr0fMI9LogOIW0P0v6-Kn7f7sQ/s2048/20201005_130001.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLtlClrmaRAczuEFGoY2FuNJs-ju3E9zO52R0QqsjPyYAKSAAjFXkjZi12WsJw0yM6635GuGl0m1nhyphenhypheng1q5CaPbN9HFg_DRFGgYzb3PDVbtudEKKoQjr0fMI9LogOIW0P0v6-Kn7f7sQ/s320/20201005_130001.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">By using <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SelSyqyiNOqqb-9LFxZGT6Rou55MSNxL/view?usp=sharing" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">this</span></a> template your kids can paint their own dinosaur. This week we went for a walk in the forest and collected a variety of autumn leaves. During midday it began to rain, so this was a perfect moment to bake autumn cookies together. We washed our leaves and let them dry. We made cookie dough and used our leaves as stamps. You can pick any cookie recipe you like, but one with gingerbread spices is my favourite! Store the cookies in a container and let the kids hand out the cookies. How cosy can rainy days be :-)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnkD3EMRMUmDOo8yNCrz1gzs6P1gjSD1h22Anc7bLJPiz92MahUjU-tNPFo5zqBV_GgmRX9kRvsyAubj-ZBFFjwH_o4ww9Rat2mgIAksqkWsbl1zrumUjgKBBOQtUTRLR9TAgXWKxhfg/s320/20200928_101826.jpg" style="text-align: left;" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUKqphXbhkX3uuxveTcdYNwh9kLC0c73xWAq_2KZpg2MhVPw_G1KSPSCXixas5uMkT06EBxyZBT_JMYvTiWeCc-UVwpP0EL2lXEVepR6FoLWfkBoakq_SwNpzszb26L4Ldb3Qf1YXklw/s320/20200928_101856.jpg" style="text-align: left;" /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPm7JTGIHcA" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">Autumn leaves are falling down</span></a> is one of my favourite English autumn songs and combines perfectly with backing leaf cookies!</div>bambino spensieratohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06627417020254869441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7170471344917148976.post-59871694063159348242020-09-19T14:07:00.007+02:002020-10-23T13:53:55.779+02:00Fish artwork<div style="text-align: center;"> A while ago I posted <a href="https://bambino-spensierato.blogspot.com/2020/03/discover-animals-in-kids-paintings.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">this</span></a> blog about discovering animals in your kids painting. I drew an eye and a mouth and that’s how this drawing transferred into a big fish on the wall. The toddler was so enthusiastic and shouted “My fish, my fish” and began to sing the fish song with all the gestures he had learned earlier that day. Before you start, just ask yourself the question if your idea is easy to make and healthy. Is the answer yes? Hooray! You won't run out of time and the children can help too, instead of you doing all the work. With a good choice you contribute to the kids health while at the same time adhere to the school policy of making healthy treats. </div><div><br /></div><div>We made some coconut rice crackers in the shape of a heart. You need some (extra thick) rice crackers, gluten and sugar free coconut slices (<a href="https://www.kokosbrood.nl/producten/consument/theunisse-kokosbrood-zero/" target="_blank"><font color="#f4cccc">kokosbrood</font></a> in Dutch), a cookie cutter and optional some plant based butter, to prepare this healthy school treat. I usually let my nanny kids draw themselves, but sometimes they ask me to draw something for them. Since we love to work with the seasons, I recently made a colouring page with the theme Spring for them. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsRx5Bt1qqlGMOo2DIJs9NELxs8fLYc4kR-9DqPvHjpkeHPtLmBQBE_VOgkexPKqv4HNZn0Ua2EmEoup_rnp-t5l2nK3ybuPBms__UDLAtKQyT8OB4KRI9qIRT3nmZ2pmMYFcGY1ZD4Q/s2573/Coloring+page+spring.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2573" data-original-width="2488" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsRx5Bt1qqlGMOo2DIJs9NELxs8fLYc4kR-9DqPvHjpkeHPtLmBQBE_VOgkexPKqv4HNZn0Ua2EmEoup_rnp-t5l2nK3ybuPBms__UDLAtKQyT8OB4KRI9qIRT3nmZ2pmMYFcGY1ZD4Q/w309-h320/Coloring+page+spring.jpg" width="309" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzlD1qnv-k7sGWnnjVV2fRUgWF_yjoh0JoMPLPo4JYGaMQTR4yRldECdeb440ld-XveihLmH3zalzEWFqfuYeGWYriu8diVaSxM_guG4ScH7mQuEP2QIp2bT1AvRbBUY7qHTDEyGu3UQ/s3984/20200318_152438.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3984" data-original-width="2988" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzlD1qnv-k7sGWnnjVV2fRUgWF_yjoh0JoMPLPo4JYGaMQTR4yRldECdeb440ld-XveihLmH3zalzEWFqfuYeGWYriu8diVaSxM_guG4ScH7mQuEP2QIp2bT1AvRbBUY7qHTDEyGu3UQ/s320/20200318_152438.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div style="text-align: center;">The subject can be anything of course! If the family is expecting a baby, a colouring page with everything that has to do with a newborn would be perfect. Or what about a colouring page with the theme travelling if you are going on holiday soon. Just choose something that fits the imagination of your children and have a conversation with them about all the objects they see on the colouring page. It’s not only a playful and educative way to learn, but it also helps the children to understand the world around them.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBozGv4yii9DXEfYxuaPHAOvPVDK41ohL2FUdT_NxZu4BEWRmuTya0HFfTIJBmUWJNTcarkwtnOIIwizJkLF8sIiBpQdnMq1VkCp_CgvqiTRLGhFBt04kmy0947Rf3d6LB4_q8AxDmuw/s3984/20200318_153522.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3984" data-original-width="2988" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBozGv4yii9DXEfYxuaPHAOvPVDK41ohL2FUdT_NxZu4BEWRmuTya0HFfTIJBmUWJNTcarkwtnOIIwizJkLF8sIiBpQdnMq1VkCp_CgvqiTRLGhFBt04kmy0947Rf3d6LB4_q8AxDmuw/s320/20200318_153522.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I used the <a href="https://www.amazon.com/How-Draw-Almost-Everything-Illustrated/dp/1631591401"><font color="#f4c7c3">books</font></a> <i>How to draw almost everything</i> and <i>How to draw almost every day</i> for my colouring page. A 4 year old kid can describe an adult life sometimes pretty well ;-) Previous year the kids made a photo artwork to brighten up daddy's office. This year we decided to make a DIY wooden peg doll family with the initials of the children on it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTt__tFD2-XZB-WBUmOyW1qElB_gOJvsEOig8PkVZm34Jcafw2qLOISw2NhrnvRMV-MomEBBIw2WZqD_BqqJ2s5zozHa2tDowjkd9sJ9uyMiYLRiIj3ps_1XIWsfLRjVE8kN8iZm-s3A/s3984/20200607_171353.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2988" data-original-width="3984" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTt__tFD2-XZB-WBUmOyW1qElB_gOJvsEOig8PkVZm34Jcafw2qLOISw2NhrnvRMV-MomEBBIw2WZqD_BqqJ2s5zozHa2tDowjkd9sJ9uyMiYLRiIj3ps_1XIWsfLRjVE8kN8iZm-s3A/s320/20200607_171353.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">You can find <a href="https://www.bakerross.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=wooden+letters" target="_blank"><font color="#f4c7c3">wooden letters</font></a> and <a href="https://www.bakerross.com/arts-and-crafts/wood?p=6" target="_blank"><font color="#f4c7c3">peg dolls</font></a> on Baker Ross (also a <a href="https://www.bakerross.nl/" target="_blank"><font color="#f4c7c3">Dutch version</font></a> available), but there are a lot of (web)shops where you can find them. </div><div style="text-align: center;">Every child selected 2 colours and used a cotton swab to smear the paint on the objects. If your kids are a little bit older, they can pimp their dolls with hair, clothes or anything else of their liking. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtL-t-HlP8r2pw4rnoCOy95tnSXTgBO75A4E0u7QKhkxRqo3Xe0izs8EhE9TlRTgRlVHw4p7O0ZMrx9Lvpgzyvnlo6EnalkSF1dpZUh2V2k2LJggQw2MBfnoCqSXlWm4qkgOSBmLf7hg/s3984/20200604_102652.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2988" data-original-width="3984" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtL-t-HlP8r2pw4rnoCOy95tnSXTgBO75A4E0u7QKhkxRqo3Xe0izs8EhE9TlRTgRlVHw4p7O0ZMrx9Lvpgzyvnlo6EnalkSF1dpZUh2V2k2LJggQw2MBfnoCqSXlWm4qkgOSBmLf7hg/s320/20200604_102652.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC6tvypQVv5EGAmb2ToZNxfPPYR8Nnb6T4FJWy8W-CUf9hl9-RYGoovkvx7F41023Ms1Bxx66MiffLF93uqZIMWsUh3fZwmB2SSvSR7xPzzu0-ev4HX98aiu1JrH6uZsux5O8wxZ4Amw/s3984/20200604_102900.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3984" data-original-width="2988" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiC6tvypQVv5EGAmb2ToZNxfPPYR8Nnb6T4FJWy8W-CUf9hl9-RYGoovkvx7F41023Ms1Bxx66MiffLF93uqZIMWsUh3fZwmB2SSvSR7xPzzu0-ev4HX98aiu1JrH6uZsux5O8wxZ4Amw/s320/20200604_102900.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Let the wooden peg dolls dry and glue letters with instant glue on each doll.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0dRJBcWosteyMj4t7pRnccNWk7fjXEpRcsW6ieeB4ajSibHUuJmwQy7COtveYLPUWlF02AmtJN3MEdtCa4PuS0tA0znWIUG2NkToDj1nBOakEO3GXkEUH5taj99gsy_D8LiqoAQR8rQ/s3156/Wooden+peg+dolls.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2350" data-original-width="3156" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0dRJBcWosteyMj4t7pRnccNWk7fjXEpRcsW6ieeB4ajSibHUuJmwQy7COtveYLPUWlF02AmtJN3MEdtCa4PuS0tA0znWIUG2NkToDj1nBOakEO3GXkEUH5taj99gsy_D8LiqoAQR8rQ/s320/Wooden+peg+dolls.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Hopefully this Father’s day gift will cheer up his days in the office :-)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Ooh and since daddy’s bicycle keys always get lost, we decided to make another present. I find it important to teach my nanny kids about how to enjoy the sun safely. We seek for shade during sunny days, the children wear protective clothes and hats and we use a high quality sunscreen for kids. Besides this, I read out loud children's books, make crafts and sing songs about the sun. In this way I try to encourage and support them to develop independent sun protection skills.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtuWdGn0WcUPxg5lWSJcYNRgClXQNLmv6ZKIII1toQPUHU0XEBScQgAazI1JxBEt7bqnyMe6xxqF267F4mlBJ6gYLJKO0PY5FrJQileJo3kdkkK2i7K42Yt8NLnOHaTrKbletv9jToVQ/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1559" data-original-width="1384" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtuWdGn0WcUPxg5lWSJcYNRgClXQNLmv6ZKIII1toQPUHU0XEBScQgAazI1JxBEt7bqnyMe6xxqF267F4mlBJ6gYLJKO0PY5FrJQileJo3kdkkK2i7K42Yt8NLnOHaTrKbletv9jToVQ/s320/IMG-20200521-WA0000.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">A paper plate sun craft is always an easy and great way to introduce this theme. My oldest nanny kid made this (see picture above) with a paper plate, yellow paper and glue. If you take a closer look, you can see the face she drew on the sun. Have you seen my <font color="#f4c7c3"><a href="http://bambino-spensierato.blogspot.com/2019/08/diy-sun-visors.html" target="_blank"><font color="#f4c7c3">DIY sun visors</font></a> </font>craft on my blog from last year? There are so many sun crafts to be found on the internet, so I am sure you can find some of your liking as well. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">George the Sun Safe Superstar is a fantastic little story to watch with your children. Don't forget to visit your local library, I found educational books about sun safe habits and the children love them!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="BLOG_video_class" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/EwyqaLnsi5Q" width="320" youtube-src-id="EwyqaLnsi5Q"></iframe></div> </div><div style="text-align: center;">We sang this Dutch song and came up with gestures ourselves to accompany the song. We held a performance for the parents and they loved it. You can find a lot of English songs & rhymes for children about being sun smart in <a href="https://www.sunsmart.com.au/downloads/communities/early-childhood-primary-school/resources/sunsmart-songs.pdf" target="_blank"><font color="#f4c7c3">this</font></a> document. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="BLOG_video_class" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4NdChs6BaMU" width="320" youtube-src-id="4NdChs6BaMU"></iframe></div>bambino spensieratohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06627417020254869441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7170471344917148976.post-14783137600299516992020-05-17T12:01:00.002+02:002020-10-23T11:14:06.114+02:00Toddler fingerprint art<div style="text-align: center;">Are you looking for a personalized gift to make for Mother's Day, a present for grandparents or anything else that needs to be celebrated? Let your kids make prints with their fingers, let it dry and create anything you like with just a few simple lines. What about making flowers, animals or anything else. You can get your inspiration from the<font color="#f4c7c3"> <a href="https://www.amazon.com/s?k=fingerprint+ed+emberley&i=digital-text&ref=nb_sb_noss" target="_blank"><font color="#f4c7c3">fingerprints books</font></a> </font>of Ed Emberley. I decided to draw each of my nanny kids as shown in the picture above. This little art work was placed in a frame with a magnet and used as a present for Mother's Day. These paper roll sheep are easy to create and can be made before visiting a farm or park to spot little lambs. With a toilet paper roll, <a href="http://www.knutselopdrachten.nl/knutselen/seizoenen/lente/knutselen_lammetje_3d_wc-rolletje.shtml" target="_blank"><font color="#f4c7c3">this free printable</font></a>, paint, a straw, cotton wool and glue (optional double sided tape), you will have all you need to make your own sheep. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7CQVigiiSYSwl061MNxTBO2Mp_IpDvGwaJaTSa5-yP5AfKhGIwciq7PYZOz1Dw5fdWI3pXI24QMYobliSe5VK9Tne_EJG15Vr2O69_sMMJFriKTo1WBAhU71645kSNCTqdRGK64Cr3w/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2453" data-original-width="3428" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7CQVigiiSYSwl061MNxTBO2Mp_IpDvGwaJaTSa5-yP5AfKhGIwciq7PYZOz1Dw5fdWI3pXI24QMYobliSe5VK9Tne_EJG15Vr2O69_sMMJFriKTo1WBAhU71645kSNCTqdRGK64Cr3w/s320/20200502_132216.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Print the free sheep templates and let the kids paint them in a colour of their liking. When dry you can draw cute faces and attach all the elements onto the toilet paper roll. I used a straw to connect the head with the paper roll and made a small cut in the roll at the bottom to attach the feet. The final step is gluing the cotton wool and the sheep are ready to play with.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwytA5cyO4-nc3PNLh0wk_BahsCjyCR25iL_8mvB2cslcsvxuHNVSzv3QPE0sRp4l2Mfi0mmJF7fOsDa6h1eNi93VOLxZJtE8oIxBybKZugz8E1iBx3CbmTFqQeb9motbNd7-Lp73x8Q/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2520" data-original-width="2518" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwytA5cyO4-nc3PNLh0wk_BahsCjyCR25iL_8mvB2cslcsvxuHNVSzv3QPE0sRp4l2Mfi0mmJF7fOsDa6h1eNi93VOLxZJtE8oIxBybKZugz8E1iBx3CbmTFqQeb9motbNd7-Lp73x8Q/s320/20200502_131542.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Ooh and this craft activity wouldn't be complete without singing the song Mary had a little lamb ;-)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen="" class="BLOG_video_class" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pb0LKINJtgY" width="320" youtube-src-id="pb0LKINJtgY"></iframe></div><br /></div>bambino spensieratohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06627417020254869441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7170471344917148976.post-73001711669320932002020-04-24T12:38:00.003+02:002023-03-07T15:11:38.856+01:00Birthday crown & party hat<div style="text-align: center;">
Celebrating a kids birthday is incomplete without a birthday crown or party hat. You can make one yourself, but involving children is more fun!<br />
<br />
With the clear instructions and the free template from<span style="color: #f4cccc;"> </span><a href="http://learncreatelove.com/princess-crown-craft-with-printable/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">learn create love</span></a> my nanny kids created their own birthday crowns. The youngest children of the family I work for are fraternal twins, so that’s the reason we made two birthday crowns. I also made a mini crown for little monkey who goes to work with me every day. If you take a closer look, you can see a blue and pink bow on the crown. In this way monkey is representing both kids ;-)<br />

A lot of parents are asking themselves the question how to cope with their kids at home during the coronavirus. Schools are closed and parents combine work with homeschooling. My niece is making her homework dressed up as a princess, because a princess is what she wants to be ;-) Since she is missing her friends from school, I came up with the idea to make a princess buddy tutorial.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsrWGXH9fuvutk-0OacwU_9QT281PW1_3MW6e0eW6SVnjqqTDMfGjTuhYPe1xjaj8YeohdRO-IWYwEnuG6d_3zbbN2emn03sH5qPEej10prqg4OvzDfmkK0rEiX-rJMaXQoNqc5uemLg/s1600/princess+in+chair+made+by+Anne.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsrWGXH9fuvutk-0OacwU_9QT281PW1_3MW6e0eW6SVnjqqTDMfGjTuhYPe1xjaj8YeohdRO-IWYwEnuG6d_3zbbN2emn03sH5qPEej10prqg4OvzDfmkK0rEiX-rJMaXQoNqc5uemLg/s400/princess+in+chair+made+by+Anne.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
I created a <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pT0xFDw33l9N2u7ah0IzslUDtf7ZU5RM/view?usp=sharing" target="_blank"><span style="color: #ea9999;">princess template</span></a> myself and sent this with a list of necessities to the parents of my niece before starting our Skype tutorial. You can use my template as an example to draw the princess. I recommend you to print it out or trace it onto thick paper, so the princess can sit up straight in her chair eventually. Use any material of your liking to give her some colour. Let your creativity flow!<br />
<br />
The chair (or call it throne if you like) I created is made by using a toilet paper roll. I shaped it as shown on the picture bellow. Afterwards I painted my throne in a green colour, but you can also use other means to decorate it. To complete the throne you can make a cushion for your princess. You will need a small piece of cardboard and wrapping paper. You can determine the shape of the cushion by using the size of the toilet paper roll and wrap it with gift paper. Now your princess can sit comfortably while joining you during your homework.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUEUbliVxYjoUPXV_rlwRP3CQwpxgzhS6Ca-PqFTvkJujiDHjHXvtwp2HEWdtRRkhPkjAvdGmHjZkJNgbmC4KwuTYWqNZdC4EdFxAIJRxCScl0Id1drhUsOL9mK7BzO41Kah9N9x7DUQ/s1600/Chair+princess.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1375" data-original-width="1600" height="275" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUEUbliVxYjoUPXV_rlwRP3CQwpxgzhS6Ca-PqFTvkJujiDHjHXvtwp2HEWdtRRkhPkjAvdGmHjZkJNgbmC4KwuTYWqNZdC4EdFxAIJRxCScl0Id1drhUsOL9mK7BzO41Kah9N9x7DUQ/s320/Chair+princess.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxQ6i9KtuMCkHCO6gpUcCD0Dy8C0259_cSsUDCXbGAMTlHAvTG42tLko8Pam0se4OL01fXbrSWegPfRw22nzgYdT2pIx4QO0WyNc51ZPDFOytbg7O5BlHCBWM6imqD8FD75JJS884KFw/s1600/20200408_150413.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxQ6i9KtuMCkHCO6gpUcCD0Dy8C0259_cSsUDCXbGAMTlHAvTG42tLko8Pam0se4OL01fXbrSWegPfRw22nzgYdT2pIx4QO0WyNc51ZPDFOytbg7O5BlHCBWM6imqD8FD75JJS884KFw/s320/20200408_150413.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I told my niece during the Skype tutorial about the option to use a cotton swab and paint to decorate the throne. She loved this idea so much and decided to go for it as you can see on the picture below.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVeFmJZqGl8ohIh_77JptEIjIGomxINjonjYT8f0lhU-bpPE-pKdBbWaxOZfEvvXCr6NVfJR5nyG5C6g_430sMdGKXgPfEFzTmSAzOSvH7CdwpM6nul_pKm_GAjZ3jVtYNvdErOckXqA/s1600/IMG-20200411-WA0009.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVeFmJZqGl8ohIh_77JptEIjIGomxINjonjYT8f0lhU-bpPE-pKdBbWaxOZfEvvXCr6NVfJR5nyG5C6g_430sMdGKXgPfEFzTmSAzOSvH7CdwpM6nul_pKm_GAjZ3jVtYNvdErOckXqA/s320/IMG-20200411-WA0009.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Instead of making a princess you can choose to make a prince or anything else you fancy of course! Whatever your child decides, studying with a paper buddy on your side is more fun :-)</div>

Surf to <a href="https://mrprintables.com/pom-pom-animals-valentines-cards/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">Mr.Printables</span></a><span style="color: orange;"> </span>and download the bunny template at the bottom of the page. Print, cut it out and decorate the bunny on both sides with paint, crayons, coloured pencils or whatever your children are into. Don't forget to write the kids names on the back. It is useful when you set up the table during the Easter weekend. If the bunny is still wet when painted, write the first letter on a paper towel beside the bunny and complete the full name when dry. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Draw with a marker a bunny face and fold the bunny in half so it can sit down. Get an empty yogurt cup, half a toilet roll or a cup of an egg carton to be used as a holder. Place double sided tape or glue on the holder and stick it on the lap of the bunny. Finally wrap the arms around the holder as well, and your egg holder is good to go. Boil some eggs and decorate them when your kids are in the mood. Enjoy a happy Easter Sunday with these sweet bunnies on the table :-)</div>

There are so many Easter activities you can undertake with kids, but our favourite is the Easter egg hunt. In this blog I will show you some craft ideas to prepare a great egg hunt for children.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNkzBsn6-q_-a5gTPZGHslNbz9xfOaSSVbOTYLdo4tpR3cT96kXVGdQW37G5a35Pg7jd8RlHkczjX4Rd5hmlWR0bscsCb2Dsohl0ENZxZotDJdG69CZ65fW03Mvukiewj6AESekzi6dw/s1600/20200327_150452.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1036" data-original-width="1600" height="207" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNkzBsn6-q_-a5gTPZGHslNbz9xfOaSSVbOTYLdo4tpR3cT96kXVGdQW37G5a35Pg7jd8RlHkczjX4Rd5hmlWR0bscsCb2Dsohl0ENZxZotDJdG69CZ65fW03Mvukiewj6AESekzi6dw/s320/20200327_150452.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First of all we made these Easter bunny headbands and used <a href="http://eastertemplate.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/By-Head.pdf" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">this</span></a> template as example. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I printed the template, cut it out and used the outline to create bunnies on thick coloured paper. I drew faces with a marker and let the kids colour them with pencils. When they were finished, I made ears of pink paper and mini yarn pom poms as tail. Watch <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjxJFcm16r0" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">this</span></a> YouTube video and learn how you can easily make these adorable, fluffy tails yourself. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
They next step is to draw eggs with the children and to craft an Easter bunny basket. I love to recycle materials and chose to convert an empty cardboard milk carton into a chicken egg basket. For the eggs I printed <a href="https://www.firefliesandmudpies.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Egg-Ornament-Template.pdf" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">this</span></a> template and if you like you can use it for the egg ornaments as well.</div>

Inspired by <a href="https://www.firefliesandmudpies.com/how-to-make-paper-easter-egg-ornaments/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">Fireflies and Mud Pies</span></a> we decided to buy some Easter trees and decorate them with Easter egg ornaments. An Easter egg hunt is incomplete without loved ones, so don't forget to invite family and friends to come over! Print <a href="http://ds4bs.blogspot.com/2013/03/bunny-garland.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f4cccc;">these</span></a> bunnies on thick paper and use them as invitations. I minimized the bunnies before printing, so we could post them. Let the kids colour the bunnies with crayons and attach mini yarn pom poms as tail. Pick a date and the Easter Egg hunt is ready to start :-)</div>

With the coming of spring, ladybugs are awaking. Since I love seasonal crafts, I planned a beach trip with my nanny kids. Why? Because seashells are the perfect ladybug shape! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCMSzh1tK4zafr627vj4dhQKTC_jGTOg3z7Mp2DAH3poXYNFEfQVpLPuioB6wCa7vzfAYQ9wo7KmSDG4eHscMRlITqMgeJ8YtwmZ2ANFe8uQykbsXUXwJNvibOmfPBaA9LAWc9mMvi5w/s1600/20200323_080256.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1143" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCMSzh1tK4zafr627vj4dhQKTC_jGTOg3z7Mp2DAH3poXYNFEfQVpLPuioB6wCa7vzfAYQ9wo7KmSDG4eHscMRlITqMgeJ8YtwmZ2ANFe8uQykbsXUXwJNvibOmfPBaA9LAWc9mMvi5w/s320/20200323_080256.jpg" width="228" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
After collecting the shells and a nice afternoon playing at the beach, we went home to give our shells a bath :-) With a cotton swab (perfect to practice the fine motor skills) the kids coloured the shells with pink and red paint.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After they were done, they wanted to continue painting with their cotton swabs on a paper. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeb5E4r_yfrSQdHj4Zhnsazw_VAoMoEhvGkIoBwtSlV_UrZSdWVWQSq5GwB0RjeUKFClHKBr_9gfc_QH3jLhrVSCwRWWQzFFRIgE0XYy9ocY7z-7kbCJ8uNgRP8hQPV6T7SHoEf94TTQ/s1600/20200323_081533.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1351" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeb5E4r_yfrSQdHj4Zhnsazw_VAoMoEhvGkIoBwtSlV_UrZSdWVWQSq5GwB0RjeUKFClHKBr_9gfc_QH3jLhrVSCwRWWQzFFRIgE0XYy9ocY7z-7kbCJ8uNgRP8hQPV6T7SHoEf94TTQ/s320/20200323_081533.jpg" width="270" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We let the seashells dry and during their afternoon nap I turned them into ladybirds with a marker. We ended up with a whole family of ladybugs and they are great for playful educational games or to give away as a (good luck) gift.</div>
